Samsung Health Adds Sleep and Running Features
Samsung is updating Samsung Health with changes to sleep coaching and running tools, including a lower data threshold for starting sleep guidance and new route imports from Strava. The company says the features will begin rolling out in October 2026; reporting describes the rollout as global. Users who meet device eligibility requirements can start Sleep Coaching with three days of sleep data from the previous two weeks. Samsung had previously required seven days of data within a month. The eligible devices listed in the rollout information include Galaxy Watch 4 series or later, Galaxy Fit 3 and Galaxy Ring. During setup, users complete a survey about sleep habits and satisfaction. Samsung says the app combines those responses with sleep data to assign a personalized Sleep Animal symbol and create a coaching program lasting four to eight weeks. It says recommendations will adjust as users’ sleep patterns change, with daily habit checklists and tips among the guidance offered. The update also adds a five-sided Sleep Balance graph that brings together sleep duration, regularity, nighttime wakefulness, sleep satisfaction and Energy Score.
