Samsung Plans USDC Transfers in Wallet for Late October
Samsung plans to add USDC cross-border transfers to Samsung Wallet for eligible Galaxy users in the United States during the last week of October 2026, the company announced October 7. The rollout is planned for devices that meet Samsung’s requirements, and the company cited 82 million compatible devices, not 82 million confirmed or expected users. The feature will let users send USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin, to compatible cryptocurrency wallets without a Samsung transfer fee. Users will also be able to send funds to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients can receive local currency. Samsung says bank transfers may carry fees that vary by destination. Recipient wallets or exchanges may also charge for incoming transfers. Samsung says the feature will be available within its existing wallet app, without requiring a separate cryptocurrency application. Eligibility is limited to U.S. residents aged 18 or older with a Samsung Account and a compatible Galaxy device running Android 13 or later. Users must complete identity verification and set up biometric authentication.
