Samsung Starts Stable One UI 9 Rollout for Galaxy S25

Samsung has begun distributing the stable version of One UI 9, based on Android 17, to Galaxy S25-series phones in South Korea after completing the software’s beta program. Reports describe the rollout as starting with the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, with the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE also reported to be receiving the update. Availability outside South Korea has not been confirmed. The rollout is the next stage in Samsung’s release of One UI 9, following testing on Galaxy S25 devices. Reports say beta participants are among the first users receiving the stable build. One account also says some S25 owners who were not enrolled in the beta have received it, but the available reporting does not establish how broadly that has occurred. Reported download sizes vary according to device and upgrade path. One report puts the package at about 535 megabytes for beta-enrolled users of the S25, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and about 3.8 gigabytes for some non-beta S25 users. Another gives different model-specific figures, including about 500 megabytes for beta users of the S25 trio and a larger package for the S25 Edge.
