Samsung’s SmartTag 3 Adds iOS Support, Smaller Design

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy SmartTag 3, a smaller item tracker that adds support for iOS alongside Android and new tools for locating belongings and receiving movement alerts. Samsung says the device is about 35% smaller by volume and 33% lighter than its predecessor. The company has not established one release date for all markets. Reports say the tracker is scheduled to go on sale in South Korea on October 7 and in the United States in early November, while broader availability has been described as coming in 2027. The dates are upcoming as of September 30, 2026, and the reports do not confirm that sales have begun. U.S. pricing was reported as $29.99 for one tracker and $99.99 for a four-pack, though another account said pricing details were still forthcoming. The new cross-platform support is the main change for the SmartTag line. Samsung says users with supported iOS and Android devices can access core finding and sharing features, allowing people using different phone platforms to share a tag’s location. Reports describe location viewing and sharing through Samsung’s services, as well as a Search Nearby feature for finding an item within range.
