Galaxy S27 Ultra may drop dedicated 3x camera

Under the reported configuration, users switching between dedicated cameras would move from the main camera at 1x directly to the telephoto camera at 5x, with no separate 3x lens. Some reports say the main sensor could also provide intermediate magnification through cropping, but the final camera specifications and zoom options have not been announced. Ice Universe says the 5x telephoto camera would remain unchanged from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, including its f/2.9 aperture. The tipster also says the main camera may use an ISOCELL HP6 sensor, described in reports as a customized version of the HPC sensor.
