Texans Acquire Marvin Harrison Jr. From Cardinals
The Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals in a trade confirmed by Texans coach DeMeco Ryans after Houston’s 26-3 win over Tennessee on Sunday. The move reunites Harrison with quarterback C.J. Stroud, his former teammate at Ohio State. Houston sent Arizona a 2027 second-round pick and a sixth-round pick, receiving Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick, according to the reported terms. The trade gives the Texans another receiving option as they seek to improve their offense. Houston had started the season 0-4 before Sunday’s victory. Harrison was inactive for Arizona’s game against Detroit on Sunday as the deal was being finalized. Through the Cardinals’ first four games of the 2026 season, he had five catches for 85 yards and one touchdown. His production had also declined from his rookie season: he recorded 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, then 41 catches for 608 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games in 2025. Arizona selected Harrison fourth overall in the 2024 draft after his college career at Ohio State. He joins a Houston receiving group that includes Nico Collins.
