Nothing OS 5.0 rollout starts for Phone (3)

Nothing has begun the stable rollout of Nothing OS 5.0, based on Android 17, for its Phone (3), with the first release starting October 12, 2026. The company says other eligible Nothing and CMF phones are expected to receive the update in stages through mid-January 2027. The published schedule is indicative, and availability may vary by region or carrier. Nothing OS 5.0 is the general release following an earlier beta program. The update is not arriving on every supported device at once; Phone (3) owners can check for availability under Settings, System and System update, though the phased distribution means some users may need to wait. Nothing describes the release as a redesign of its software, with updated icons, typography, spacing and motion, along with a redesigned Launcher and refreshed system layouts. The company says personalization options include wallpaper-adaptive colors and transparent details across elements such as widgets. A new Micrographics clock face and Collector widget are among the additions. The update also includes changes to Nothing’s Glyph interface, which will have a dedicated app, and improvements to Essential AI tools, according to the company.
