Six Kings Slam postponed to December in Riyadh

Published 14 October 2026

Organisers have postponed the Six Kings Slam tennis exhibition in Riyadh until December, moving it from its October dates after assessing logistical challenges and their potential effect on the audience experience. The event is now scheduled for December 27-30, 2026. It had been due to run October 21-24 in the Saudi capital, with Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur and Learner Tien among the players set to take part. Jannik Sinner, the defending champion, was reported to have withdrawn because of injury. In a statement, organisers said the decision followed an assessment of organisational and logistical challenges and how they could affect the quality of the audience experience. The statement did not specify the individual challenges or say that security was the stated reason for the postponement. The change comes after attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, including a strike on Saturday that the Houthi movement claimed responsibility for. Reports described at least 12 deaths and more than 300 injuries from that strike.
