Google and Flo Announce Women’s Health Partnership
Google and Flo Health have announced a multiyear partnership to connect Flo’s menstrual health app with Google Health, conduct research and develop products for women. The companies said users will be able to begin syncing data in early 2027, but participation will be optional and require permission. With consent, Flo cycle information will appear alongside Google Health measures such as sleep and heart rate. Google says Flo data will not be used for advertising or sold, and that users can give or withdraw permission separately for each data type and purpose. The data is also expected to inform Google Health Coach, including personalized guidance for subscribers to Google Health Premium. The companies did not disclose the size of the investment associated with the partnership. They said they plan to collaborate on products combining Flo’s health insights and algorithms with Google’s wearable hardware and sensors, but did not identify specific products, prices or release dates. The partnership also includes research into areas of women’s health that have received less attention.
