Xbox rolls out Mythic Achievements to Insiders

Xbox has announced Mythic Achievements, a new status for players who complete every original achievement in an eligible game. The feature is rolling out to Xbox Insiders, with access reported to begin September 29, 2026; Xbox has not announced when it will reach the general public. According to Xbox, players earn a Mythic Achievement by completing a game’s original achievement set. Achievements added later through downloadable content or updates are not required, and earning the status will not be undone if more achievements are added afterward. The company is also introducing a Gaming tab on player profiles, where users can review achievements, track Gamerscore milestones and revisit completed games. Mythic Achievements will be distinguished in achievement histories by a special frame. A progress bar on each game’s achievement list will show how close a player is to completing the original set, with an option to focus on the achievements still needed. Xbox says the status will be applied retroactively to eligible games players have already completed, including Xbox 360 titles.
