The Celebrity Traitors returns with 21 contestants

Published 1 October 2026

The BBC is launching the second series of The Celebrity Traitors on Thursday, October 1, with 21 celebrity contestants competing in the reality game for a charity prize of up to £100,000. The opening episode is scheduled for 8 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with Claudia Winkleman returning as host. The supplied pre-launch information does not establish the episode’s outcome or identify the contestants selected as Traitors. The cast brings together performers and presenters from television, comedy, music and other fields. Contestants include broadcaster Amol Rajan, actors Bella Ramsey and Michael Sheen, comedians James Acaster and Joanne McNally, singer James Blunt, presenter Maya Jama and model Jerry Hall. The full lineup also includes Hannah Fry, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Richard E. Grant, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney. The programme follows the format of the original series: contestants are secretly assigned as Traitors or Faithfuls, and the Faithfuls try to identify the Traitors through the game’s challenges and discussions at the round table.
