BBC Confirms Celebrity Traitors Season 2 Premiere Date

The BBC has confirmed that the second series of its reality competition show, The Celebrity Traitors, will premiere on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The announcement, accompanied by a new trailer, ends weeks of speculation about the launch date for the highly anticipated season. The series will begin with an extended opening episode at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Following the premiere, the show will air twice weekly on Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm. The launch date was previously rumored to be September 23, a date mentioned by TV presenter Richard Osman and former contestant Joe Marler on a podcast, but the BBC has now set the official premiere for October 1. A new trailer released alongside the date announcement shows the celebrity contestants meeting for the first time in a church setting. Host Claudia Winkleman is heard telling the players, "I have chosen my Traitors. The game is on. There are now killers among you. Fame won't save them."
