Celebrity Traitors series two scheduled for October 1
The second series of The Celebrity Traitors is scheduled to begin on BBC One and iPlayer on October 1 at 8 p.m., with host Claudia Winkleman saying she would not take part as a contestant because she believes she would be poor at the game. Winkleman, who also presents the celebrity competition, described herself as “too thick” to compete and said she thought she would be “too awful” at it. She said playing at the round table was a privilege, but that she would not want to play publicly herself. Her comments were reported ahead of the series’ scheduled premiere; the available information does not confirm that the episode has aired. The new series brings together celebrities who attempt to identify the Traitors among them. Most contestants are designated as Faithfuls, while the Traitors seek to avoid detection as players are eliminated during the game. The first celebrity edition was won by Traitor Alan Carr. Executive producer Sarah Fay said the production team was pleased with the response to the first series and hoped the new one would feel fresh.
