Palm Beach GOP Removes Caruso From Voter Guide

Published 6 October 2026

The Palm Beach County Republican Party removed Mike Caruso from its voter guide for the November 3 election after criticism over his continuing candidacy while facing criminal charges. The change ends the county party’s promotion of Caruso in the guide, but he remains the Republican nominee and says he intends to stay in the race. The party posted an updated guide on October 6, omitting Caruso, who is seeking another term as Palm Beach County clerk and comptroller. In a statement accompanying the revised guide, the county organization said it had included every Republican nominee in the original version and removed Caruso as soon as it was permitted to do so. Florida Republican Party Chair Evan Power said the state party had asked the county organization to take down the earlier guide and had withdrawn its support for Caruso after his arrest. Power also said the state party had asked local Republicans to select a potential replacement, but Caruso refused to withdraw. Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized the earlier guide’s inclusion of Caruso, while Sen. Rick Scott called on him to leave the race.
