Fairshake backs 32 House incumbents who supported CLARITY Act
Fairshake said it will support 32 incumbent House candidates in the November elections, all of whom voted for the CLARITY Act, a digital-asset market structure bill that passed the House but failed to advance in the Senate. The slate includes 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats, according to the political action committee’s announcement. Six lawmakers are slated to receive $1 million each in support from Fairshake and affiliated groups: Republicans French Hill, Bill Huizenga and Bryan Steil, and Democrats Janelle Bynum, Steven Horsford and Derek Tran. The announced awards total $6 million for those six candidates. Fairshake has not disclosed how much it intends to spend across the remaining races. The 32 candidates are incumbents seeking re-election. They include members of committees with roles in financial, tax and other policy debates relevant to digital assets. Hill chairs the House Financial Services Committee; Huizenga and Steil also serve on the panel. Fairshake spokesman Geoff Vetter said the group backs candidates in both parties who support cryptocurrency and innovation. He said it aims to build what he described as the largest pro-crypto caucus in American history.
