Mumbai Indians acquire Tara Norris for WPL 2027
Mumbai Indians have acquired USA left-arm bowler Tara Norris from UP Warriorz for INR 10 lakh ahead of the 2027 Women’s Premier League season, adding the former Delhi Capitals player to their squad before the league’s mini-auction. The transaction was reported as a trade at Norris’s existing fee. The WPL 2027 mini-auction is scheduled for October 28 in Kochi, while the season is scheduled to run from January 14 to February 7, 2027. The move precedes the auction, where teams are expected to continue assembling their squads. Norris, a left-arm seamer from the United States, played in the WPL’s inaugural season in 2023 for Delhi Capitals. She took seven wickets in five appearances that season. Her standout performance was 5 for 29 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the first five-wicket haul in WPL history. The acquisition marks a return to the league after Norris did not appear in the following seasons, according to reports on her WPL record. She has also played for MI London in The Hundred.
