BCCI Calls IPL Stakeholder Meeting for October 15
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has called a stakeholder meeting in Mumbai on October 15 to review previous Indian Premier League seasons and discuss preparations for the 2027 tournament, which will be the league’s 20th edition. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board invited franchise owners, their chief executives, broadcasters and state associations that have hosted IPL matches. The meeting is intended to bring those groups together before planning for the next season advances. A letter Saikia sent to state associations said the agenda would include reviewing issues and lessons from past seasons, addressing concerns and discussing planning and coordination for 2027. Saikia also said the BCCI had not settled on a venue for the meeting and was considering options. The gathering is scheduled for Mumbai, but no specific location has been confirmed. The discussions will include the perspectives of state associations, which have a role in hosting matches and coordinating venue operations and matchday arrangements.
