Kulusevski to travel with Tottenham, but not play at United
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi said Dejan Kulusevski will travel with the team to face Manchester United on Saturday, October 10, but only to support the squad as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury. De Zerbi did not give a date for the winger’s return to competitive play, saying his readiness would be assessed week by week with the medical staff. Kulusevski has been out for more than 500 days. His last Tottenham appearance was on May 11, 2025, when he suffered the knee injury, according to reporting on his absence. He took part in a behind-closed-doors 11-a-side game against an academy side during the international break, according to a report citing the Daily Mail. The account did not specify how many minutes he played. De Zerbi praised Kulusevski’s conduct during rehabilitation, calling his response to the injury an example for the squad. The manager said the club’s medical staff had worked with the player and that the decision about when he could play again was not his alone. Travelling with the team, he stressed, did not mean Kulusevski would be available for Saturday’s match.
