Kings Center Maxime Raynaud Injures Right Knee

Published 11 October 2026

Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud left the court in a wheelchair after injuring his right knee late in the first half of a preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. Sacramento ruled him out for the rest of the game, but no diagnosis or prognosis was reported. Raynaud went down with 2:32 remaining before halftime after contact around his knee as he set a screen during a play involving Stephen Curry and Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. He fell to the court in pain and was examined by medical staff before being helped into a wheelchair and taken to the locker room. Reports do not establish precisely what caused the injury. The Kings tested Raynaud’s knee during halftime and announced in the third quarter that he would not return because of a right-knee injury. He later left the arena on crutches with ice wrapped around the knee. Raynaud told a reporter he was going for an MRI and had no immediate update. Before exiting, Raynaud scored 10 points and collected five rebounds in roughly nine minutes, according to the Associated Press account. He made all three of his field-goal attempts, including a three-pointer, and converted three free throws.
