Harry and Meghan Make Joint Public Appearance in Nottingham
Prince Harry and Meghan visited the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham on Thursday, October 15, in their first joint public appearance in the UK since returning to the country. The visit was a public-facing engagement, not an official royal event, and began a day of community visits that were scheduled to include two other organizations. The couple met people gathered outside the studio in St Ann’s, where they greeted onlookers and posed for photographs. The studio provides young people with recording facilities as well as creative activities, sport, mentoring and youth development. One report, citing People magazine, said about 100 people waited outside and Meghan spent about 15 minutes greeting them and collecting flowers. Those figures were attributed to the magazine. Other reports described applause and a welcoming crowd but did not provide an estimate. The Nottingham stop was described as the couple’s first joint public appearance in Britain since their return. They moved back to the UK in August, according to reports. The visit also marked Meghan’s first public engagement in the country since 2022, when she attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
