Fury Plans to Invite Trump to Join Cardiff Ring Walk

Published 3 October 2026

Tyson Fury says he plans to offer U.S. President Donald Trump the chance to accompany him on his ring walk before his scheduled heavyweight fight against Anthony Joshua in Cardiff this December. Fury said Trump’s attendance was probably unlikely because of his presidential responsibilities; the sources do not report that an invitation has been made or that Trump has responded. The bout is scheduled for the Principality Stadium, but reports differ on its local calendar date. One gives December 11, while another says it is expected in the early hours of December 12. The available information does not resolve the discrepancy. The stadium has a reported capacity of 80,000. Fury said he would make the offer to Trump, whom he described as an old friend. The two met at a UFC event at the White House in June, according to the reports. Fury framed the proposed ring-walk appearance as an invitation, not a confirmed part of the event. The fight will bring together two former heavyweight world champions after years of rivalry and lengthy negotiations.
