White, Hearn Dispute Roles in Fury-Joshua Fight

Published 2 October 2026

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua’s fight remains scheduled for December 11 in Cardiff, while a dispute over Dana White’s role in the event surfaced at its London launch press conference. White was absent, and his name drew boos when Turki Alalshikh thanked him before the crowd. Eddie Hearn, seated nearby, smiled as cameras showed his reaction. The event is set for Principality Stadium and is to be shown live on Netflix. White has said UFC will produce the show and that he is promoting the fight, though the precise extent of his role remains unclear in the available accounts. White said he missed the launch because he had obligations to the Contender Series in Las Vegas. At a later press conference, he said he would have attended if not for the show and described the absence as a scheduling matter. He has also said that travel made the trip difficult. Hearn gave a different explanation after the London event, saying White was not permitted to attend. Hearn claimed the fight’s contract bars White and Zuffa from promotional involvement unless he allows it.
