Frank Carter confronts attendee over women-only mosh pit

Published 11 October 2026

Sex Pistols frontman Frank Carter confronted a male audience member during the band’s October 9 show at Denver’s Ogden Theatre, after the man objected to a women-only mosh pit Carter was introducing before the song “No Feelings.” Footage of the exchange circulated online, and reports said the concertgoer was removed after Carter called for security. Carter told the man that women could face physical harm in general mosh pits and questioned his response to a designated space. When the man appeared to shake his head, Carter said the issue was not the man’s lived experience and told him to leave. Carter later called security from the stage and asked them to remove the attendee. The reports describe the removal based on the same concert footage; the attendee’s own account was not included. Carter resumed addressing the crowd after the exchange and introduced the song. In Instagram Stories posted October 10, Carter clarified that the area was trans-inclusive. He said it was intended for people who do not usually feel safe moshing, so they could dance without concern about physical, sexual or psychological violence. He also defended creating space for women at the show.
