Prime Video Releases Blade Runner 2099 Trailer

Prime Video has released a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099, a limited series set to premiere November 25, 2026, with all eight episodes arriving that day. The trailer was presented at New York Comic Con and offers a closer look at the series’ two central characters and their search for missing replicants. The story follows Cora, a human fugitive played by Hunter Schafer, who takes on the identity of a Blade Runner. She partners with Olwen, a replicant Blade Runner portrayed by Michelle Yeoh, to investigate missing replicants and a runaway connected to a potentially dangerous secret. The series is set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, according to the series’ published description. The trailer depicts a transformed Los Angeles and a society in which replicants hold power. Those events are part of the series’ fictional setting. Showrunner Silka Luisa described the story at the convention as taking place after a replicant uprising in which humans lost control. The series asks what happens as one species declines and another rises, she said. The investigation brings together two characters facing different dangers.
