Deebo Samuel Expected to Miss at Least a Couple of Weeks

Published 12 October 2026

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks after injuring his hamstring during Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday. The 49ers have not announced a confirmed return date or a detailed diagnosis. Samuel was hurt in the third quarter and was ruled out of the game. He left the field with assistance from team staff, holding his right leg. Shanahan described the injury as significant and said Samuel would miss time; his estimate was at least a couple of weeks. The injury came during San Francisco’s 32-29 win over Seattle, according to reports on the game. Before leaving, Samuel had two catches for 21 yards and two carries for four yards, one report said. Samuel had recorded 16 receptions for 206 yards and three receiving touchdowns this season before the game, according to reports. He had also rushed nine times for 78 yards, the reports said. He returned to San Francisco this season after spending 2025 with the Washington Commanders. His absence adds to injuries affecting the 49ers’ receiving group.
