Bitcoin ETFs Extend Inflow Streak as Ether Funds See Outflows

Published 6 October 2026

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded about $241 million in net inflows for the week through October 2, extending their positive run to three weeks, while spot Ether funds posted roughly $138 million in net outflows, according to figures attributed to SoSoValue. The contrasting weekly totals point to divergent flows in the two largest cryptocurrency ETF categories, though they cover a different period from later daily reports. Bitcoin fund inflows slowed sharply from the preceding week, when they totaled $2.39 billion, according to one account of the weekly data. The week through October 2 was uneven: Bitcoin funds saw a midweek outflow before investors added money on Thursday and Friday. The weekly result nevertheless remained positive. BlackRock’s IBIT recorded $450.18 million in net inflows, while Fidelity’s FBTC had $167.94 million in outflows, illustrating that the category-wide total concealed different results among individual funds. Ether ETFs moved in the opposite direction for the week, after recording inflows the previous week. A separate report said the funds had five consecutive outflow sessions through October 5, including $50.
