Apple lists iPhone Duo repair fees up to $1,499

Published 15 October 2026

Apple has published estimated U.S. repair fees for its iPhone Duo, listing a charge of up to $1,499 for uninsured customers whose devices fall under the “other damage” category. The fee is about three-quarters of the foldable phone’s $1,999 starting price, according to Apple’s pricing information. The listed uninsured price for inner-display damage is $999, while an outer-display repair costs $379. Apple’s schedule also sets fees at $49 for replacing the removable cover layer above the inner display, $199 for back-glass damage, and $229 for battery service or rear-camera damage. Repairing both the outer display and back glass is listed at $509. The amounts are estimates, and the company notes that authorized repair shops may set different fees. Apple has not provided a separate price for hinge damage in the information described in the reports, so the cost would depend on how such damage is categorized. AppleCare substantially lowers several listed charges. The plan’s reported prices are $19.99 per month, $199.99 for a year or $399 for two years. With coverage, an inner-display repair is listed at $99, and “other accidental damage” also carries a $99 service fee.
