Zelenskyy Says He Felt Betrayed by Trump
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he felt betrayed by U.S. President Donald Trump, citing Washington’s diesel arrangement with Russia and broader concerns about U.S. support for Kyiv. In an interview with Piers Morgan published October 14, Zelenskyy said his reaction was more complicated than personal feelings and stressed that Ukraine still counted on its partnership with the United States. Zelenskyy also raised concerns about reported restrictions on satellite connectivity used by Ukrainian forces. Ukrainian officials said unannounced speed limits on military-linked terminals disrupted some drone missions. Zelenskyy warned that the disruption could cost lives, but acknowledged he did not know whether it was deliberate or the result of a technical problem. Elon Musk said limits on Starshield speed or usage are decided by the U.S. military and ultimately the president. Trump denied that his administration imposed the reported restrictions. Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said Starlink access was being restored, while a report from Ukrainian defense officials said lower restrictions had been removed but a 100-mph limit remained.
