Yuvraj Singh named Delhi Capitals batting coach for 2027

Delhi Capitals have appointed former India allrounder Yuvraj Singh as assistant and batting coach for the 2027 Indian Premier League season, the franchise announced Tuesday. The role will be Yuvraj’s first formal coaching position and reunites him with Sourav Ganguly, who is set to lead the team’s coaching staff as head coach. Yuvraj said in a statement shared by the franchise that he was excited to begin a new chapter with Delhi Capitals and looked forward to working with Ganguly. Yuvraj has previously mentored several Indian players, including Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh, according to reports. His international career included 304 one-day internationals, 40 Tests and 58 T20 internationals.
