TFG London investigates cyber incident affecting three brands
The Foschini Group’s UK business, TFG London, said it identified a cybersecurity incident on Sunday, October 11, affecting some IT systems serving its Phase Eight, Hobbs and Whistles brands. The company said its investigation is continuing and that it has engaged external cybersecurity specialists. TFG said its stores remain open, although some systems are unavailable. Orders placed on or after Sunday may be delayed, and the company has advised customers not to place duplicate orders. It said it activated business continuity and incident-response plans and informed relevant UK authorities. The incident’s effect on customer or other sensitive information has not been established. TFG said it had no reason to believe payment information was at risk, while its investigation into possible exposure of sensitive data continued. If it determines that personal information was affected, the company said it would notify the individuals concerned. It also said customers do not need to change their account login information at this time. TFG London is the UK arm of South African retailer The Foschini Group.
