US Seizes Seven Domains Tied to Hacking Tools

Published 8 October 2026

The Justice Department and FBI seized seven internet domains on October 8, 2026, to disrupt access to MicroScan and FishHub, hacking tools U.S. authorities link to Integrity Technology Group. The court-authorized action was accompanied by a cybersecurity advisory from U.S. and international agencies describing activity attributed to actors enabled by the Beijing-based company. Authorities say MicroScan was used to scan organizations for vulnerabilities, while FishHub supported spear-phishing activity and the delivery of malware to networks after access had been gained. According to the FBI, FishHub-related activity affected about 20 Taiwanese universities. Investigators also found files from more than 20 organizations, including six Taiwanese universities, on a server linked to the tool. The FBI seizure affidavit says MicroScan scans preceded successful breaches at two Taiwanese universities, in August 2022 and March 2023. Authorities also listed a South Carolina power company, airports in Japan and Poland, and Taiwanese natural gas and electricity companies among MicroScan targets.
