BYOD Claims Trump Mobile Data Leak Affected 3,615 Records

Published 6 October 2026

A hacking group called BYOD says it published a file containing personal and order details from 3,615 Trump Mobile service records, prompting questions about the scope and source of the alleged exposure. The figure refers to people who used or previously used the mobile service, not customers who preordered the company’s phone, according to BYOD. The full dataset and the number of distinct people affected have not been independently verified. The file, which BYOD said it posted on its dark-web site last week, reportedly includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses and order details. Reporters contacted people listed in the data, and some confirmed their information or past interactions with Trump Mobile. One customer’s record accurately reflected a canceled service plan. Another person said she had never completed signup, although she had provided contact information to the company. These checks support the accuracy of some entries but do not verify the entire file. The records reportedly include Eric Brunnett, the Trump Organization’s vice president and chief information officer, as well as Nicholas Hayes, an assistant general counsel for the organization.
