Teen Son of Kim Zolciak Granted $200K Bond in Felony Case

Kroy Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of television personality Kim Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann, was granted a $200,000 bond on Friday, September 11, 2026, following a hearing in Fulton County, Georgia. The bond allows for his release from the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta, where he has been held since his August 17 arrest, but it comes with strict conditions. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Melynee Leftridge ordered that Biermann be placed on 24-hour house arrest at his mother's home, subject to GPS monitoring. He is required to attend school virtually, surrender his passport, and is prohibited from using a cell phone or social media. The conditions also bar him from contacting the alleged victim, her family, or any associates, and from communicating with anyone under the age of 16. The bond hearing featured sharp arguments from both sides. Prosecutors, led by Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy, argued for either continued detention or a higher bond of $190,000. They alleged that Biermann had a prior juvenile matter for which he has been under court supervision since October 2025.
