Strategy’s Latest Confirmed Bitcoin Balance Is 847,666 BTC

Published 6 October 2026

Strategy’s latest confirmed Bitcoin balance is 847,666 BTC, following a 1,665-coin purchase for $142.7 million reported in a September 28 filing. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor’s October 4 social media post renewed speculation about another purchase, but the chart and caption he shared did not disclose a transaction or confirm that the company had bought more Bitcoin. The filing said the 1,665 BTC were acquired between September 21 and 27 at an average price of about $85,681 per coin. It brought Strategy’s aggregate acquisition cost to approximately $63.95 billion. At Bitcoin’s October 4 price near $85,250, the 847,666 coins were worth an estimated $72.3 billion, a market value that fluctuates with the cryptocurrency’s price and is distinct from what the company paid. Saylor posted Strategy’s Bitcoin accumulation chart with the words “More orange than ever.” His message did not specify a purchase amount, transaction dates or price. Although similar posts have preceded some company purchase disclosures, the October 4 post alone does not establish that a new acquisition occurred. Strategy’s September 28 filing also reported selling 1,469,165 MSTR shares for $246.
