Sony Announces Three PlayStation Plus Games for October

Sony has announced that F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 will be the October games offered through PlayStation Plus Essential. Members are expected to be able to add the three titles to their libraries from October 6 through November 2, 2026, at no additional charge beyond their subscription. F1 25 and Hunt: Showdown 1896 are listed for PlayStation 5. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, making it the only title in the group listed for the older console. The lineup spans racing, extraction shooting and cooperative action. F1 25 is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. It includes single-player modes such as Career and My Team, as well as online play. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter in which players hunt monsters and compete with other hunters while pursuing objectives and trying to escape with rewards. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 features voxel-style graphics and team-based combat against giant enemies.
