Slow Horses episode ends with Coe dead and Sid captured
J.K. Coe dies after a knife fight with assassin Jim in the fourth episode of Slow Horses’ sixth season, while Sid Baker is abducted by Jim and fellow assassin Jane. The episode, titled Lost and Found, ends with River Cartwright finding Coe bloodied and collapsed in a service-station bathroom and watching the assassins drive away with Sid. Coe, played by Tom Brooke, confronts Jim after spotting the assassins at the service station. Their exchange reveals that Jim is with Russia’s GRU, rather than the FSB. Coe then produces his push knife, but the fight takes place largely offscreen. River later finds him dead, with music faintly audible through his earbuds. As River discovers Coe, Jane captures Sid outside and places her in the assassins’ vehicle. The episode leaves Sid’s immediate fate unresolved. Her abduction follows a demand from Russian intelligence figure Vassily Rasnakov, who has told Diana Taverner to hand Sid over or face further consequences. Taverner’s response is not shown. Brooke said Coe’s death was planned from the beginning of his three-season contract.
