Robbie Williams named National Album Day 2026 Album Icon

Published 6 October 2026

National Album Day has named Robbie Williams its 2026 Album Icon, and organizers say his 2000 album Sing When You’re Winning is planned for a limited-edition two-LP red-and-blue vinyl reissue later this month. The announcement connects the singer’s role in the annual celebration with a new edition of his third solo studio album; preorders have been announced or opened. Williams said he was happy to take part in the event and that albums still matter. A National Album Day spokesperson said Williams had accepted an invitation to champion the album format and support this year’s celebration. The remarks were issued as part of the announcement, rather than as a separate account of the planned release. National Album Day is scheduled for October 17, 2026, with “Icons” as its theme. PinkPantheress, Max Richter and Melanie C were also named as Album Champions. Organizers describe the event as a celebration of albums and the artists associated with them, marked by releases, reissues and other activities. It has been held annually since its launch in 2018. The reissue is described as a limited-edition set containing two red-and-blue vinyl LPs.
