Ravens beat Falcons 30-23 after overtime interception
The Baltimore Ravens beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime Sunday after Kyle Hamilton intercepted Tua Tagovailoa on Atlanta’s final possession, ending the Falcons’ chance to respond to Baltimore’s touchdown. Tagovailoa entered the game after starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. left late in regulation with a rib injury. Penix did not play in overtime, and Atlanta turned to Tagovailoa, who had joined the team during the offseason. Hamilton’s interception stopped the Falcons’ drive and secured Baltimore’s win. The Ravens forced overtime with a late rally. Atlanta had led 23-15, but Baltimore scored a touchdown with 40 seconds remaining in regulation and converted a two-point attempt to tie the game. In overtime, Baltimore scored first, taking a 30-23 lead and leaving Atlanta needing a touchdown to extend the contest. Tagovailoa completed a 20-yard pass to Drake London on the Falcons’ first play of the overtime possession. His next throw was intercepted by Hamilton, ending the game. Earlier, Tagovailoa had briefly entered in the fourth quarter and completed a 14-yard pass to Bijan Robinson before Penix returned for the remainder of regulation.
