Protesters Interrupt Jerry Seinfeld’s Chicago Show

Published 13 October 2026

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s Friday performance in Chicago was interrupted several times by demonstrators protesting his support for Israel and its military campaign in Gaza. Seinfeld answered one protester’s accusations with sarcastic remarks, and security escorted demonstrators from the venue as he continued the show. During an interruption, a woman accused Seinfeld of making jokes while Palestinians were being killed and cited figures of 74,000 Palestinians killed, including 22,000 children. Those numbers were claims made by the demonstrator; reporting on the confrontation did not independently verify them. Seinfeld echoed accusations that he was racist and supported genocide in a sarcastic response. In footage described in reports, he also danced as security removed the woman. Another demonstrator shouted at him during the performance, and Seinfeld responded that he would find out the person’s ticket price and send that amount to Israel. He immediately added that he would keep the money. There is no indication in the accounts that he donated it. The interruptions drew hostile reactions from some people in the audience, according to accounts of the event.
