Pakistan clinches T20I series with 82-run win over Sri Lanka
Pakistan secured the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka on October 11, beating the visitors by 82 runs in the second match in Rawalpindi to take an unassailable 2-0 lead. Sadaqat fell four runs short of a maiden T20I century, hitting seven sixes and six fours before being caught on the final delivery of Pakistan’s innings. His total followed a half-century on debut in the series opener. Farhan struck five sixes and four boundaries before his dismissal in the 15th over. The pair added 88 runs for the second wicket from 49 deliveries. Pakistan also benefited from three dropped catches, with Farhan given reprieves on two and 11, and Sadaqat on 44. Sadaqat later put on 72 runs from 31 balls for the third wicket with Hasan Nawaz, who finished unbeaten on 19. Pakistan scored 70 runs in the final five overs. Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals during the chase.
