India beat West Indies to lead T20I series 2-1
India defeated West Indies by 14 runs in the third T20 International on October 11, defending a total of 223 to move 2-1 ahead in the five-match series. West Indies finished on 209 for seven in 20 overs at Holkar Stadium in Indore. Abhishek Sharma led India’s batting with 69 runs from 30 balls, including five sixes and six fours. He shared a 108-run second-wicket partnership with Ishan Kishan, who scored 37, as India built a strong platform. Sharma reached his half-century in 18 balls, and India had scored 87 for one during the Powerplay. West Indies’ bowlers checked the momentum in the middle and later stages. Roston Chase dismissed Kishan and Shreyas Iyer in the ninth over, then Shamar Springer removed Sharma. India lost further wickets, including Tilak Varma and Axar Patel to run-outs, and was all out for 223 in its 20 overs. Varma made 28, while Axar scored 20. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 44 runs, including the early dismissal of West Indies captain Shai Hope and two key wickets in the 18th over. He removed Keemo Paul and Sherfane Rutherford in quick succession as the visitors’ chase came under renewed pressure. Arshdeep was named Player of the Match.
