OnePlus 16 launches in China without US or Europe availability
OnePlus has announced the OnePlus 16 in China, introducing a flagship phone with a 9,000mAh battery and a 200-megapixel main camera. The company has not announced official availability in the United States or Europe, leaving buyers in those markets without a confirmed local release. The battery is larger than the 7,300mAh cell reported for the OnePlus 15, an increase of about 23%. The new phone also supports 100-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging. Those figures describe capacity and charging specifications; independent testing of the OnePlus 16’s real-world battery life was not included in the reports. The camera system is reported to include a 200-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide and telephoto cameras, and a 50-megapixel front camera. The phone has a 6.78-inch LTPO display, with a refresh rate reported as reaching 185Hz. One account says the highest rate is available only in selected games. OnePlus lists the phone in China with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
