Moca Chain Mainnet Launches for Portable Digital Identity

Published 30 September 2026

Moca Foundation and Moca Network have launched the Moca Chain mainnet, a blockchain network intended to let people carry verified digital identity credentials across services while sharing only the information required. The project positions its AIR layer to help businesses issue and accept credentials and to support identity checks for AI agents acting on behalf of users. The network is designed to reduce repeated identity checks, such as know-your-customer procedures, by allowing a trusted organization to verify information and issue a credential that users can reuse. According to Moca Network, users retain control over where credentials are shared, while a receiving service can confirm a specific fact without receiving the underlying documents. The reports do not establish how widely the system is being used or independently verify its capabilities. AIR is the business-facing integration layer associated with the launch. Moca Network says companies can turn existing checks into portable credentials or accept credentials issued by other organizations. The company also describes AIR as covering payments and loyalty, alongside identity.
