Melanie Walters eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing
Melanie Walters and professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing after losing the second dance-off of the 2026 series to Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr. Anton Du Beke cast the deciding vote to save Wright-Phillips and Warr, sending Walters and Škorjanec out of the competition. The two couples faced the judges after finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard and performing their routines again in the results show on Sunday. Wright-Phillips and Warr repeated their Quickstep to The Monkees’ I’m a Believer, while Walters and Škorjanec danced their Charleston to Gina G’s Ooh Ahh... Just a Little Bit. Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas voted to save Wright-Phillips and Warr. Motsi Mabuse chose to save Walters and Škorjanec, leaving Du Beke to decide the outcome. He voted for Wright-Phillips and Warr. The result followed Saturday’s leaderboard, on which Walters and Škorjanec scored 17 points for their Charleston and Wright-Phillips and Warr scored 15 for their Quickstep. The public vote and judges’ scores put both couples in the bottom two, where they had to dance again for the panel.
