Larson sues JPMorgan Chase over alleged discrimination

Brian Larson filed a federal lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase on September 23, 2026, alleging that a supervisor discriminated against him over his work with an LGBTQ employee group and that retaliation contributed to his departure from the bank in October 2023. The allegations have not been adjudicated. JPMorgan Chase denies them and says its investigation found no evidence to substantiate Larson’s claims. Larson’s complaint says his difficulties arose while he was a senior associate in the bank’s Chase Associate Program and co-chair of PRIDE TriState, an employee group supporting LGBTQ workers. He alleges that supervisor Peter Bergman criticized the time he spent on the group and, during a meeting in June 2022, told him to separate his “gay job” from his day job. According to the complaint, Larson raised concerns about Bergman’s conduct and later reported remarks to program management and the bank’s employee hotline. Human Resources opened an investigation in October 2022 and closed it in December, the filing says.
