Klitschko Seeks Authority to Investigate Panettiere Property

Published 7 October 2026

Wladimir Klitschko has asked a California court to give him authority, as temporary guardian of daughter Kaya’s estate, to seek law-enforcement assistance investigating the possible sale of belongings that belonged to her late mother, actor Hayden Panettiere. The request follows an October 5 filing in which Klitschko said he believed a nonfamily member previously connected to Panettiere had sold items, possibly including jewelry, to a pawn shop. The filing says the shop declined to provide information about specific items unless contacted by law enforcement. Klitschko asked the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles to authorize him to request and approve an investigation into recovering Panettiere’s property. The filing warns that belongings believed to remain could be sold or transferred, but it does not confirm that jewelry was pawned or identify the person involved. Klitschko’s request is tied to his effort to protect Kaya’s inheritance. The filing identifies her as Panettiere’s sole intestate heir and says no personal representative has been appointed to safeguard the estate.
