Four arrested over alleged resale of Hyderabad T20 passes
Hyderabad Police arrested four people on October 13 over the alleged resale of complimentary passes for the fourth India-West Indies T20 International, scheduled for October 14 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Police said 11 cricket passes marked “NOT FOR SALE” were seized. The allegations have not been established in court, and the investigation is continuing. The four arrested were identified as Satish Chandra Srivastava, a Hyderabad Cricket Association member; his son, Akarshit Srivastava; Avinash Darak; and Mohit Somani. Police said the case began after they received information about alleged ticket sales near SD Mall in Begum Bazar on October 12. During a patrol at about 9 p.m., officers intercepted Darak and Somani, then pursued the investigation into the other two men. According to police, the passes were allegedly obtained by Akarshit from his father and then supplied to Darak. Darak and Somani allegedly advertised them on social media and contacted prospective buyers through those platforms. Police accounts describe the passes as being offered at inflated prices.
