Fifth body found near Kempton Park as police warn women
South African police have discovered a fifth woman's body near Kempton Park, intensifying fears of a serial killer in the area and prompting authorities to issue a public warning for women to avoid isolated locations. The latest victim was found in Olifantsfontein on Monday morning, September 14, 2026, according to police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe. Mathe stated the woman was found half-naked and bruised, with preliminary indications suggesting she was killed elsewhere and her body dumped at the scene. Police have not yet identified the victim or established whether her death is linked to four other women whose bodies were found in the same vicinity over approximately two months. The discovery follows the finding of a fourth body on Saturday, September 12, in a thicket of grass near the R21 in Rhodesfield, opposite OR Tambo International Airport. That victim was partially clothed, had visible injuries, and appeared to be wearing sports clothing.
