FBI Seizes Seven Domains Linked to Hacking Tools

Published 8 October 2026

The FBI seized seven internet domains linked to two hacking tools that U.S. authorities say were used by China-linked actors to scan for vulnerabilities and, in some cases, break into organizations’ networks. The operation targeted infrastructure associated with MicroScan and FishHub, tools linked to Beijing-based Integrity Technology Group, also known as Integrity Tech. The Justice Department and FBI said the domains supported the platforms and related access infrastructure. A joint cybersecurity advisory issued with U.S. and international partners described activity affecting organizations in government, critical infrastructure, healthcare, technology, education and other sectors across several regions. The FBI did not disclose whether some specifically named power companies, airports and energy providers were successfully breached. FBI Cyber Division Assistant Director Brett Leatherman said Integrity Technology Group provided capabilities used for widespread vulnerability scanning and, in some cases, intrusions targeting U.S. and foreign critical infrastructure. The advisory said the activity involved scanning, unauthorized access and theft of sensitive information.
