FBI investigates claimed breach of jobs portal

The FBI is investigating a cyber incident involving its FBIJobs.gov recruitment portal after the hacking group ShinyHunters claimed it stole personal information about bureau employees and job applicants. The bureau has acknowledged possible exposure of employee personally identifiable information, but has not confirmed how many people or which records were affected, or whether its own enterprise systems were accessed. The FBI said it was working to investigate the incident and was in communication with people who may be affected.
